Your safety matters to us. Please read this before placing an order, and always tell us about any allergies or sensitivities when you reach out.
Shared kitchen notice
All of our items are baked and assembled in a home kitchen that regularly handles wheat, dairy, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts, and soy. Even when a recipe does not list a specific allergen, we cannot guarantee that finished products are free from trace amounts due to shared equipment and surfaces.
Common ingredients
- Wheat & gluten - used in most cakes, breads, and pastry components.
- Dairy - butter, milk, cream, and cheeses appear in cakes, frostings, charcuterie, and pies.
- Eggs - used in cakes, custards, and many fillings.
- Tree nuts - pecans, almonds, and walnuts appear in select cakes, pies, and charcuterie spreads.
- Soy - present in some flavorings and chocolates.
Telling us about allergies
When you submit an inquiry, please list every allergy or sensitivity - including severity - in the "Additional information" field. We will do our best to accommodate, and we'll be honest if a request is something we can't safely fulfill in our kitchen.
For severe allergies (especially anaphylaxis-level), please contact us directly at kate@katesbakerysc.com before ordering so we can talk through what we can and cannot do.
Gluten-free, dairy-free, and other accommodations
Some items can be modified on request, and availability varies by season. Ask when you inquire - we'll let you know what's possible for your event date.
